Be the smart sleeper and set your alarm when you plan to get up and you will get fifteen or twenty more minutes of quality sleep.
The alternative is to set the alarm so you have time to snooze and you will be woken again and you will feel much worse than if you were only woken once! That groggy feeling is sleep inertia and is caused by your body being unable to finish a new sleep-cycle.
Setting the snooze button also makes the morning rushed, because you probably don’t have time to snooze as many times as you did! Your morning will be a horrible rush and then you run the risk of driving erratically.
Your body will thank you later for not being a snooze hitter because you will have time to wake up properly, have a nice shower and a good breakfast. A good start to the day is vital for the success of the rest of the day, so forget the snooze button and hit your own body button!

Nice article! Totally agree that it’s better to leave the snooze option for better sleep. If you’re afraid to fall back asleep after you stopped the alarm clock, just place your alarm clock further away, so you have to get up.
