Single Mum tiredness
Single Mums do not say they are tired or run down just because they think they are more than anyone else – they just say it because they are. Some single Mums have friends and family who help if they need a helper, but some do not. And it is not nice asking for help sometimes because nobody wants to be a burden.
Being a single parent for some is a lifestyle choice for one way or another and for some it happens due to circumstances.
Some single parents are fortunate to have partners who are there for support but don’t live together. Other single parents might live with a partner, but still feel there are tough single parent issues.
The thing about single parenting is even if you do partner up – the issue of your child is still yours.
We all get tired and stress can cause this or just lots of jobs to do and being a parent, cook, chauffer, disciplinarian, mower person, handy person, counsellor, financial adviser and then out sourcing support if necessary!
Carers of any type I just want to say you are doing a wonderful job and make sure you take time out for you.

I think there may be some married women who are twice as exhausted from having to look after a husband as well as kids!

Yes I was married once and of course very exhausting – being a single parent – sometimes the emotional support is missing more so than from a marriage -not always!
