Wake me up when it’s all over!!! Ha! Life is a gift and nobody wants to change what they have, but it’s lucky we can deal with whatever is thrown at us because it can be tough. And just when you think it’s tough; there is another one!
Different people handle different situations and most people try to mentally prepare themselves for situations but sometimes wild cards are hard to discern!
The research states about the re-wiring of teenage brains and yes it makes sense but it doesn’t make it any easier. When you think things are going well they don’t and when you think things are getting bad, they get better. As parents unpredictability is a given, but not on the teenage level. And of course, teenagers are questioning as much as we are (ore more) and I guess we have age and wisdom with our thoughts! So they need us more than ever in a funny way.
The best thing is support from other parents and people and parents’ personal health and well being and laughter and more laughter!
Wikipedia has how to be a teen and how to parent a teen lol! The best thing is obviously communication and respect both ways. The only reason people are upset is when someone means something to them. Sometimes my daughter says things like she doesn’t understand my concern. And tonight I said one day you will have a little girl and … she just cuddled me and I didn’t have to say anymore! I will take that as a positive glimpse of what is to come!
There are many sites, but this one has been recommended to me:
