Cranky good night text
I wonder whether it is better to send nothing rather than the risk of the good night text being cranky, rude or inappropriate!
If you normally send a wonderful good night text with kisses and sweet words and then one night because you are cranky you send: “night”.
I guess the thing is to put yourself in the other person’s shoes. Would you be happy with: “night” or would you rather nothing?
The next best thing is don’t just say night, but don’t go overboard either. Think of it like writing a text when you are really tired: “Good night, sweet dreams, speak to you tomorrow xx”.
And then if you are both cranky – will the other person respond with: “night”?!!
It is like we teach our children: it is okay to be cranky, but do not take it out on others. Try and look for positives in whatever it is that is bothering you and realise nobody purposely tries to upset us .
