Broken hearts are often worse at night because this is the time you would normally spend with someone and it is often the little reminders of him doing that or her doing this and your mind takes you on that journey of ohhhhh why me!!!??
I remember when I had a broken heart, a lot of people tried to help. I remember friends saying that their broken heart was worse at night and they told me what they did to mend their broken heart.
Some people bought new sheets, pillows and maybe a bed. If making new purchases wasn’t possible, just changing the room around or sleeping at the opposite end of the bed also helped others.
My Uncle told me the thing he missed the most was his wife bringing him a cup of tea in the morning. He then said after a while he thought maybe it was just the tea he missed!!!
Keeping busy at night will help so call that friend, bake those cookies or watch sad movies. I remember writing the word absolutely all over my house because this word was so positive and it just made me feel better.
If you have kids, embrace them and get laughing with them again because kids are so amazing and they are great healers. Everyone’s journey is different, but what the experts know is, even though you can’t imagine it right now, everyone gets over a broken heart – absolutely.
