Sometimes it takes years for family matters to go to court so children can be re-united with their other parent. This time can never be made up and a little piece of the child is taken away. Our children need to spend time with their parents. Of course, it is a totally different matter when parents are prevented from seeing their children by law because of any threat or danger towards the children.
Matters between the parents should not be taken out on the children. People need to get some help after a relationship breakdown to ensure the correct decisions are made. Even if the other parent is unfaithful to you, this doesn’t give you a right to stop the parent from seeing their child. Of course, the other parent was morally indecent on an adult level, but this should not determine whether they see their child or not.
People are very hurt when relationships breaks down and unfortunately this hurt turns in anger. People need to give themselves time and take care of themselves. Children need to be taken care of too.

If children say they don’t want to visit the other parent, this decision has to be discussed thoroughly by all parties. When is a child old enough to take this stand? Parents have the responsibility to make the best decision and sometimes kids are not going to like the decisions.
“Hundreds of studies have shown that a child that grows up without a significant presence of both parents in their lives is detrimental to their growth and overall well-being.
