Breakfast ideas
Breakfast is still the most important meal of the day and teaching ourselves this and our kids is vital. I found a great list of recipes on the Special K website www.mySpecialK.com.au
It is free and takes 2 seconds to register. Here are some ideas:
Bakes beans on toast and a regular skinny latte
- 140g baked beans
- 2 slices (64g) sourdough bread, toasted
- Regular (300ml) skinny latte
A low-GI wholegrain breakfast cereal with toast and yoghurt
- ¾ cup (30g) low fat breakfast cereal
- ½ cup (125ml) skim milk
- 1 medium (100g) banana
- 1 slice (42g) wholegrain bread, toasted
- 5g (1 teaspoon) table spread
- 1 teaspoon (7g) honey
- 100g low-fat vanilla yoghurt
Boiled egg, avocado, soldiers and apple juice
- 2 boiled eggs (100g)
- 2 slices (83g) wholegrain bread, toasted
- 125ml (½ glass) tomato juice
- 1/2 avocado (122g)
Poached eggs with tomato, toast and avocado and regular skinny latte
- 2 poached eggs
- 1 medium (105g) tomato, grilled
- 1 slice (42g) wholegrain bread, toasted
- 1/4 (61g) avocado
- Regular (300ml) skinny latte
