A good awake means a good sleep
Do you find if you have had a good day you have a good sleep? Well, I think a good day helps us have a good sleep. Think of days when you have achieved something great or just made someone smile..these are the days to cherish. Always make time for you and then you are more giving to others. Like we are told we need to financially ‘pay ourselves’ first we also need to replenish our emotional bank first so we have more to give.
Planning each day is a good way to achieve the most out of a day. Even if you plan to relax or plan to not plan..it is just about owning your day and making a choice.
Some days we have to do things we don’t love but if we think of it as more challenging than the days that are purely for our enjoyment we will find ways to make the little things great things.
I find when I walk past someone and we exchange a smile it is such a lovely feeling. Lately I have had the pleasure of young girls (late teens) smiling when I have walked past. For me, probably because I have a daughter, it has been really refreshing. Or recently I saw an older gentleman hold a car door open for a lady on a very windy day. This man was walking past this lady’s car and saw the opportunity to help someone.
Helping friends move house, giving someone a phone call, a well done comment, a thank you…all of these things and so much more can make our day so special.
What can you do to make your day and someone else’s day special? I am going to make a point of praising my daughter tomorrow and being patient and for me I will make sure I have some quiet time sitting on the patio, enjoying my thoughts.

Nice words Shaz – I have read it over and over – takes a fair bit normally to crack this tough old nut 🙂 You should sleep very soundly tonight – thanks on behalf of all of those who enjoy your words so much but are too shy to tell you 🙂
