Good morning texts
Sometimes it might be just a smiley or a cheery good morning via text. It is lovely waking to a lovely good morning text. I think it best if it can be just simply “good morning” without any other requests.
Often I try to send a good morning text, but just finding the time to write something, that seems original and nice and fun and makes sense, takes up too much time some mornings. And sometimes if the other person sends a long text… a simple good morning text isn’t enough.
So, if you think and can’t write something you are happy with…resort to the smiley and follow it up with more detail later. At least with a smile the person knows everything is good with you and you are just busy at present.
Just imagine what you would like to read upon waking. Obviously the odd request or question – can I borrow your lawn mower this weekend? – is better left to later in the day.
In many ways texting is great and means we can send that sweet little message while on the train, waiting for the bus or waiting for the jug to boil. Sometimes the morning isn’t the time for phone calls, but texts can really send that positive message to say: “hey, I am thinking about you” – but without the time consuming factors of calling people and then wishing you hadn’t because you have run out of time!
