Falling asleep on someone talking
Falling asleep on someone talking might seem rude, however, it is an involuntary feeling that overwhelms the person. You might be a couple, sharing a room with someone, on a school camp, in a lecture, in a meeting, whatever it is – someone is telling something quite deep to their heart and you fall asleep – oops!

In the morning you could possibly mention it and say sorry and the next night sit up while the person is telling the same story to you!
People should not get too offended – I think nearly everyone has done this. It has been a long day, our head hits the pillow and someone wants to poor their heart out. We don’t even have the energy to say it isn’t the best time and that might be offensive anyhow!
I think people telling stories at this time mustn’t be fully alert either or they would realise they are not going to get the best response – even if the other person/s is awake! I think that atmosphere of feeling all snuggly and safe and dark, in a room, gives people the confidence of saying things they might otherwise find too difficult.
And for the person telling the story – maybe it was a good thing you got it off your chest – and a bonus the other person didn’t hear it!
