Who is getting that perfect work life balance then? Well, only an individual knows that and even then I am not sure if anyone gets it right all of the time.
I think parents who provide a good grounding for kids, and give them a healthy eating and sleeping routine, can set the kids up to create a healthy hereditary sleep cycle.
Sometimes, life presents opportunities and even if we were shown a positive way – we choose another way out of survival or choice. Some people work night shift and this is because certain occupations, like nurses and police officers, have to, and often nightshift works because the kids are at home with one parent, while the other parent works.
If the job is high paying maybe it is worth it, but is it still worth it if the money is not that great and it is compromising your health? I think it isn’t and I think maybe people who have health conditions need to re-think their jobs if it is compromising their health. I think it is great they are trying so hard, but maybe it isn’t worth it.
Similarly, I believe there are lots of people out there who could be working more because they are healthy and able and have less commitments, however, choose not to work.
So, some work too much and sleep is compromised and others are not working enough and there sleep is probably still compromised in other ways. I say this because if people are making poor work choices, chances are they are making poor lifestyle choices in general. What choices are you making about sleep?
