School holidays 2013
We can relax bed times on holidays – that is the whole point about holidays – relaxing on normal daily rituals.
However, when it comes to kids we still have to be mindful of their routine and the next day! If your child sleeps in it is not so bad, but even still setting a holiday bed time is still probably a good idea. Kids will like it if it is 30 minutes or an hour passed their normal bed time.
For parents: If the child doesn’t get to bed by their holiday bed time give them a warning and then the next night say they will go to bed at their normal bed time!

At the risk of sounding like a cranky old fart 🙂 what happened to the school holiday days when kids got up with the sun and crashed straight after dinner just totally exhausted from running around and doing stuff all day (no video games or internet back then) – we never had to get told twice to go to bed? Anyway, they are my memories but perhaps altered a little with the passing of time??
