Unfortunately we all know people involved in relationship breakdowns and the hope is not always that people get back together, but more importantly, they look after themselves and be the best person they can be.
The most common words I hear from friends who have gone through a relationship breakdown is: “I don’t want to be lonely.”
It is interesting that this is the biggest concern. I think it gets back to comparing ourselves to all of those happy couples out there. Here are some of the things couples are putting up with:
2. money worries
3. angry outbursts
4. fighting continuously for days
5. sleeping in separate rooms
6. trial separation
7. lack of respect
Marriage is a commitment and while a lot of people choose to leave a marriage, the secret is choose to stay and be committed to the marriage. That is the difference between the ones who make it and the ones who do not – the ones who make it are committed to soldier on and be the best person they can be – even when times are tough.
Violence is never okay. Please seek help if you are being physically or mentally abused.
