Take a look at the moon early tonight about 5pm and be impressed by the Supermoon. A Supermoon is a snazzy title meaning a close moon.
The moon is as close as it will probably for 2013. It will be bigger, brighter and more interesting to view. The moon will mainly look a bit bigger because it is closer.
Our tides will also be bigger, but this will mainly be noticeable along the east coast towards the north around Cairns.
Due to the full Moon being bigger and brighter – people will probably do bigger and brighter things than normally performed during a standard full moon! This is ironic because there is little science evidence to support such happenings – but it happens! Maybe it is a good thing it is Sunday night in some parts! Is that a … oh no – it is my neighbour!!!
