Father’s Day
In Australia it is Father’s Day today and the day is nearly over. I hope all of the Dads out there had a fabulous day. It is a day celebrated all over the world but on different days and a few years ago it was celebrating the 100th year anniversary.
Father’s Day is celebrated differently now due to the different roles fathers now take on.
A lot of father’s would have had their kids today…especially if the kids don’t live with their father all of the time. So instead of the Father having a relaxing spoilt day for some, it would have been a celebration to be with the kids.
1909 was the first Mother’s Day and 1910 the first Father’s Day. Females had the recognition first but the males were only a year behind.
Fathers are being much more domesticated than ever before. And a lot of single Dads take their children and take care of them.
