Craving sleep during the Christmas holiday
The giant Christmas tree is up, presents are finally under the tree, Christmas cards have been sent, puddings are hung up…now we just want to sleep!!
Some people go the easier road to avoid too much stress: they erected a small tree, presents were purchased months ago, Christmas text messages and emails were sent rather than posting actual Christmas cards, a Christmas pudding was bought from the grocery store – however, they still just want to sleep.
However you do it – it is a tiring time of year for everyone. Thankfully among the tiredness…there is a lot of Christmas joy and lunches and dinners and gift giving and smiles and sharing for the adults.
Money is also something we crave! For the kids Christmas craft is fun during this time and cheap. Get them to make a Christmas card and insert a photo of them.
Christmas chocolates are easy to make. Buy ice cube trays (I bought a star one for under $2) and put in the chocolate and sprinkle hundreds and thousands – the kids will love it and the chocolates look amazing.
And then Christmas lights are on the to see list and Christmas parades and special events.
It is a time when we are all tired, but it is a time when we want to enjoy ourselves and fit as much fun in as possible. Hopefully on Christmas Day you can have a snooze after lunch!!
