Good night text for comfort
A goodnight text just might be what you need to get you through a difficult situation. If you are staying away or sad or lonely or scared. Sending one or many good night texts to one person or many friends, might be just what you need.
It might be wise to let the person know you are feeling a little lost or sad and explain that you don’t feel like talking or can’t, but a few texts would be nice and comforting.
If it is not a good time for some people – try and be understanding – and realise this is nobody’s fault.
Make sure you let the person know immediately you are not in any danger – just upset and want to chat via good night texting. To avoid confusion it is probably best to text people who you normally text regularly. If you send a good night text to someone you rarely see or someone who doesn’t know you very well – they might not know how to best help you.
Other calming techniques to try:
1. remember to take deep breaths
2. close your eyes and listen to your breathing
3. change your thinking immediately by distracting yourself and just sitting calmly – a new day will be here soon; you are a very strong person; many people love you.
