1. People are excited about the next day.
2. To watch their favourite shows.
3. To spend time with family and friends.
4. Because they don’t feel tired.
5. To enjoy the night because the day was so terrible!
And while all of the reasons are valid, compromise with yourself and then you can win at night and during the day!
Everyone has their reasons for staying up late and if that is what people truly want to do, until they don’t anymore, nobody will be able to convince them otherwise. Of course people know that having reduced sleep brings issues, but not having down time does too and this is the intriguing factor. Some people would rather feel more balanced and be a little tired and others just sleep and are not too fussed about other feelings. There is absolutely nothing wrong with going to bed as early as you want to or staying up as late as you want to, but be prepared to balance your life in other ways. 10pm seems to be an acceptable bedtime for many and this is because there is time for a little ‘down time’ and then to bed!

It’s too easy to get caught up in watching TV or playing games on your phone rather than getting the sleep that you need. For all we know staying up late is detrimental to human health. My take is that I exercise, drink a lot of water and found out that yoga is a great way to get the exercise I need and help my body to relax to prepare for a good night’s sleep not to mention a melatonin skin spray that I use for me to be able to sleep in a few seconds better than a sleeping pill. http://sprayablesleep.com
